Lumi was born in Bozeman, Montana, (1997), soon after she was born her parents moved to western South Dakota. They raised her in the Black Hills, where she developed her love for nature, which has greatly impacted her work throughout her spiritual journey.
Lumi remained in the area to earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Black Hills State University, which she obtained in May of 2021. She has been a part of several group shows in the Black Hills area, including the Art House in Hot Springs, the Matthew's Opera House and Art Center in Spearfish. She is currently in preparation for her first Solo Exhibition at the Dahl Arts Center in Rapid City, SD- opening in early 2026.
Lumi focuses on creating compositions that reflect her spiritual journey and conversation with the divine.
Currently, she works predominantly as a painter, but she also spends time doing intuitive drawing and writing to continue to generate new compositions and ideas. She believes the importance of creating is within the intention and the process more so than the result, finding herself in the midst of an endless conversation with the universe.
Lumi is deeply inspired and driven by her curious child-like nature, especially through themes relating to sacred geometry, astronomy, meditation, color theory, and beyond.
Her growing connection with her higher self continues to gracefully unfold through each composition, seen most intimately in her recent series La Période Bleue. As well as her newest series, La Période Lumière, that has yet to be revealed to the public eye.
