The exploration and discovery of self is but a nostalgic, endless unraveling. Lumi gracefully explores her story of the "past" & "future" through the present meditation with self. Her visions become the guidance that inform the profound moments, weaving seamlessly into each composition.
The present unfolds indefinitely, as she attempts to embody the illusion of time throughout each piece.
Lumi creates compositions from a meditative state, allowing visions and constructed memories to fully embody her present being, which she gracefully translates with each brushstroke.
Astral planes of existence hold an immense space in her psyche, becoming predominant locations within this series, allowing the boundless possibilities to naturally unfold into each piece. Subjects of higher self in relation to earthly forms interact seamlessly in each composition, a relationship that only exists rather figuratively is brought to life on the canvas.
One may say, to fully comprehend her work, the viewer must also be deeply & profoundly connected to self. Lumi's work continues to transcend linear space and time, finding itself resting in a place of eternal spirit.

I hesitate to say that I’m a painter.
I have yet to make a masterpiece,
I still have yet to master myself.
To master my mind in all of its shades and hues.
To learn the edges of my soul
before I can translate its perspective onto canvas.

Inspired by Dick Termes using his 6-point perspective system he developed in 1968 as well as the book Through Two Doors at Once by Anil Ananthaswamy. The Blue Moon, the ticking clock, and two doors parallel in dimensions. The self explores the corridors, dancing with the present moment that endlessly unfolds between the two. On a path of discovery and rediscovery, bounded by space and time, released by alignment with divine higher self.
